SECURITY |
||
| The security that
we will discuss in section will deal with concepts and products to help
protect residential and commercial locations. These may or may not be
exactly what is suggested by alarm and access controls companies, but are
some basic ideas in developing a security protection program. Alarm systems are a great way to electronically monitor a location... WHEN they are used in a logical manner. In urban and suburban environments where the police can arrive at the scene in a few minutes, Central Station Monitoring (CSM) can be an effect means of insuring minimal lose and possibly even capturing the person or persons who "trespassed" at the protected site. In thinly populated country areas, the alarm system is a deterrent factor only if the person or persons are not sure of neighbor response or police response times. In City environments audible devices are ignored after a short period of time. In the suburbs they usually draw immediate, not always quick enough to see an attempted break-in, In the Country community environment neighbors are not always available to respond to the audible, and even if they are what will they do. I myself like having a video system, with one camera visible and several others hidden (in vents, clocks, books or other clandestine locations) preferably monitored and recorded by your central monitoring station (triggered by the alarm system). This approach works in most if not all environments.

Having decals and signs around the location has one of two effects, It
warns those who might enter the location -
STAY AWAY I AM PROTECTED or
I AM PROTECTED, SO I MUST HAVE
SOMETHING WORTH TAKING! To many signs say that it's a bluff, I don't have protection or what I have is trash. You have to understand this is all my own opinion, take it from where it comes and not as Gospel.
